Detailed description of River Ridge Golf Club, Victoria Lakes Course
River Ridge Golf Club, is a Public, 36 hole golf facility located in Oxnard, California, River ridge has two 18-hole regulation golf courses. They are The Vineyard Course and The Victoria Lakes Course.
The Victoria Lakes Course opened August 22nd, 2008. The course was designed by John Millhouse.
The Victoria Lakes Course at River Ridge Golf Club is a par-72 layout. Victoria Lakes plays to a maximum distance of 6,834 yards. The course rating is 72.3 and the slope rating is 130.
Victoria Lakes is proud of their "Amen Corner" that starts on the par-five, 555 yard #12 (green pictured) and ends on #14 another long par 5 is the most captivating group of holes. The lake on #12 runs the entire right hand length of the fairway before it curls in front of a narrow green that slopes back to the lake. You may go-for-it or lay up, the club (and your score) is in your hands. Number 13 is arguably the most challenging hole in the county. A double dogleg that plays into the wind, it measures 425 yards from the blue tees and is flanked by lakes on both sides.

Played in a tournament on the Lakes course, hence the "do not recall" for the fees. Very good golf course with demanding greens. Pace of play was excellent (4 hours), but this was a shot gun start so may not be typical.

Fun and interesting, but tended to bbe very windy, which made some holes nearly impossible.

Kinda brown right now. The starter was kind of rude by pointing out where the women's tees were when we walked up to the 1st tee, So I promptly belted out a 290 yard drive to show him maybe he should be playing from the women's tees. hmm

I have always liked the layout. Two reachable Par 5's including the 18th. I am also biased as President of the River Ridge Men's Club, the best in Ventura County.

Victoria Lakes is a beautiful golf course. The course is well layed out with nice changes in elevation. The fairways are in good condition. However the greens need improvement. Pace of play is always a problem at both Victoria Lakes and River Ridge. Many high handicap golfers play this course and slow the pace of play.
